Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras


Fat Tuesday. You may one in a lifetime to hear this word. So, what is Fat Tuesday? Fat Tuesday is the biggest day of Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras is French for "Fat Tuesday". Ash Wednesday begins Lent for Christians. But in the time period before the start of Lent, the idea is to party like it’s 1999, and that is called Mardi Gras.

To celebrate Fat Tuesday, it is traditional to go all out on Fat Tuesday, eating, drinking and generally having as good a time before Lent begins.

The Mardi Gras celebration is known as Carnival in several countries. Mardi Gras parades, parties and general displays of excess can be found on the days leading up to Ash Wednesday.
